⚡Galešnjak Island: Croatia’s Heart-Shaped Gem ❤️
The romantic island that captured the world’s attention!
Croatian island of Galešnjak is famously known as the “Island of Love” due to its naturally occurring heart shape.
This tiny uninhabited island covers just 0,132 km2, and it became globally recognized after being highlighted on Google Earth in 2008 due to its shape.
Galešnjak has no structures, only wild plants, and offers a serene setting perfect for romantic escapes or adventurous boat trips.
A fun fact – it was first mapped by Napoleon’s cartographers in the early 19th century.
Another fun fact – it seems Beyoncé celebrated her 39th birthday on the island, and even Michael Jordan and Jeff Bezos visited its crystal-clear waters.
This flashfact is a reference to my JourneyJots post:
And one last thing - this publication will stay free forever, but if you feel I deserve a cup of matcha 🍵 here and there, then please buy me some - the next drink’s on me! ☕
Beautiful, beautiful 😍. Although I understand, it's not a place for people to go live, but that could be my home ... most definitely 💯‼️
