Trappist beer, brewed by Trappist monks since the 17th century, is a valued tradition known for its outstanding quality. Trappist beer is a tradition of Belgian, Dutch and French monasteries and has been crafted within abbey walls since the Middle Ages, with all profits supporting the monastery and charity.
For the beer to be awarded the Authentic Trappist Product label, it must meet strict criteria and ensure its high standard. Today, only 11 monasteries worldwide continue this ancient brewing tradition: five from Belgium, 2 from the Netherlands, and one each from Italy, Austria, the USA, and England.
Santé! 🍻
