⚡Ravens from the Tower of London as Guardians of the Crown⚡
How these majestic birds protect an ancient British legend
Did you know there is a legend saying the Tower of London and the British monarchy will crumble if the ravens ever leave the Tower?
King Charles II first decreed that at least six ravens should always be kept at the Tower to avoid this disaster. Today, seven ravens (six plus one spare!) live at the Tower, under the care of the Ravenmaster. These birds have their wings clipped to prevent them from flying too far, and their diet includes raw meat, eggs, and even the occasional rabbit!
Ravens have been part of the Tower’s history and myths for centuries, adding a fascinating layer of mystery to it.
