If you ever walk around Vienna, I’m sure you will notice the shimmering golden dome of the Secession House. This outstanding white building with its famous motto, “To every age its art, to art its freedom,” built in 1897, was the home of the Vienna Secession, the art movement formed in 1897 and closely related to Art Nouveau.
The founding group consisted of Austrian painters, graphic artists, sculptors and architects, including Josef Hoffman, Koloman Moser, Otto Wagner and Gustav Klimt who broke away from traditional art styles to embrace bold, modern ideas. Inside the house, you’ll find Klimt’s famous Beethoven Frieze, a mural symbolizing humanity’s struggles and triumphs.
The Secession House is more than just a gallery, it’s a monument to creative rebellion and artistic freedom. If you’re in Vienna, don’t miss this must-see masterpiece!

And one last thing - this publication will stay free forever, but if you feel I deserve a cup of matcha 🍵 here and there, then please buy me some - the next drink’s on me! ☕
That is so pretty! I'd never heard of it nor seen a photo.
