One of the world’s oldest and largest covered markets, Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar or Kapalıçarşı has been a bustling hub of trade since 1461. It is home to over 4,000 shops spread across a maze of narrow, colorful corridors, and walking into this labyrinth feels like stepping into another era.
Here, you’ll find everything from handmade carpets and gleaming jewelry to fragrant spices and artisanal ceramics. But the true magic lies in its atmosphere—echoes of merchants’ calls, scents of Turkish coffee, and whispers of deals struck centuries ago.
It’s obvious that visiting the Bazaar isn’t just shopping; it’s experiencing a living piece of Istanbul’s history.
