⚡The Pantheon: Rome’s Ancient Architectural Wonder ⚡
Discover the history of Rome’s best-preserved ancient monument
The Pantheon in Rome, built in 126 AD during Emperor Hadrian's reign, is one of the most iconic ancient buildings in the world.
Famous for its massive dome—still the largest unreinforced concrete dome in history—it was originally a temple dedicated to Roman gods. Its oculus, a circular opening at the top, provides the only source of light and symbolizes the connection between heaven and earth.
Today, the Pantheon serves as a church and a burial site for notable Italians, including the painter Raphael. A must-see for history lovers!
