Flamenco is more than music and dance – it’s raw emotion. Rooted in Andalusian culture and influenced by Spanish, Romani, Islamic, and Sephardic traditions, flamenco combines powerful singing (cante), intricate guitar playing (toque), and expressive dance (baile).
This art form emerged in southern Spain in the late 18th century, flourishing in the cafés cantantes of the 19th century. Flamenco tells stories of love, loss, and resilience through rhythmic footwork, hand claps, and heartfelt melodies.
Today, flamenco is recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, with Seville as its spiritual home.

And one last thing - this publication will stay free forever, but if you feel I deserve a cup of matcha 🍵 here and there, then please buy me some - the next drink’s on me! ☕
When I've seen this before, I really enjoyed the dancing, the music and the beautiful colors. Very entertaining and now good to know the story behind it.
Thanks, Gabi 🙏
