Vienna’s Hundertwasser House isn’t just any building or a regular apartment house—it’s a work of art!
The house was designed by Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser in 1985 to break all the rules of traditional architecture – there are no straight lines, the facades are colorful, and trees sprout from balconies.
Hundertwasser believed buildings should be in harmony with nature, so each unit is uniquely designed, with uneven floors and vibrant mosaics, reflecting his philosophy that architecture should be joyful and eco-friendly.
The building is one of Vienna’s most photographed landmarks and a testament that you can be creative in urban spaces.
Don’t miss it when exploring the city!

And one last thing - this publication will stay free forever, but if you feel I deserve a cup of matcha 🍵 here and there, then please buy me some - the next drink’s on me! ☕
Looks so cool! I would def make a point to check it out if I ever get back to Vienna.
